K-Drama to be seen

To decide drama apa lagi yang mo kutonton agak gampang² susah, harus selektif biar nggak buang waktu & energy… 😀

Akhirnya pilihannya jatuh ke Dalja’s Spring (2007) & City Hall (2009) karena review yang bagus dari forum² drama addicts bikin aq tertarik buat nonton, dan terbukti nggak nyesel banget mantengin layar monitor sampe mata belekan… 😛

• Dalja’s Spring (2007)

Synopsis:

Oh Dal-ja (Chae Rim) is a manager at a home shopping center. She is already 33 years old and is still single. And still waiting for her ‘prince’ to come. She has everything: money, power, and success. The only thing she dreams about is marriage. Then she meets flirty guy, Shin Se-do, who seemed very nice to her. After seeing how he flirts with Wee Seon-joo (and later dumped Dal-ja for her), the beautiful host of the Home Shopping TV show, she seeks revenge. Kang Tae-bong (Lee Min Ki), a guy 6 years younger than her and has a mysterious past, pretends to be her boyfiend and signs a dating contract with her. But then again, who is this Eom Ki-jeong that seemed to be the perfect gentleman? He’s an enterprise representative who’s just so perfect: rich, good-looking, intelligent, and courteous, but recently separated from his wife. Three men, one woman: who will win Oh Dal-ja’s charm? Who will end up as her “knight in shining armor?”

Kalau aq baca sinopsis awalnya aq pikir akan ada persaingan antara Eum Ki Jeong dan Kang Tae Bong buat ngerebutin Dal Ja, tapi ternyata sejak awal hati Dal Ja sudah lebih memilih Kang Tae Bong.

Drama ini fresh and fun, adorable main couple, amusing side characters, walaupun endingnya gak terlalu “gimana” gitu (spoiler alert; no wedding bell), tapi aq masih puas nontonnya… 🙂

• City Hall (2009)

City Hall

Synopsis:

City Hall is a drama that will deal with politics in a romantic comedy genre. It’s about the happenings between a young woman mayor and an elite bureaucrat. Jo Gook (Cha Seung Won) is an exceedingly smart government official. He passed the Higher Civil Service quickly, and basically is the perfect guy. But being a deputy mayor is not enough for him. He lives with the dream of becoming South Korea’s President. He should have easily gone straight to the top, but due to an unexpected incident, he gets dispatched as a deputy mayor for a provincial small town, Inju City, where Shin Mi Rae (Kim Sun Ah) was working. Shin Mi Rae is a low-ranking secretary in Inju, but she works her way up in becoming the youngest City Mayor. As their paths met, they have to deal with each other’s personal and social differences. But despite their constant bickerings, would they end up in each other’s arms?

Perfect cast, perfect soundtrack (my favorite is BOORANHAN SARANG by Horan of Clazziquai) and also great chemistry between the lead stars, definitely one of my favorite K-Drama’s couples…^^

Jo Gook-Shin Mi Rae

Kim Sun Ah is one of the most talented actresses in Korea. Jadi ya nggak diragukan lagi kualitas aktingnya, apalagi waktu scene dia dilemparin puluhan telur..>_< so touching, and successfully made me cry (as always!!). I’m one of her fans since My Lovely Sam Soon.

Satu hal lagi yang bikin aq jatuh cinta dengan drama ini adalah the male lead star, Cha Seung Won. Oh my god, klepek-klepek rasanya… 🙂 Walopun aq belum familiar dengan mukanya karena belum pernah nonton film/drama dia, menurutku he’s the perfect 10/10; wajah, postur, suara, even his smirk makes me melt *tsaaaah*… apalagi kalo pake setelan suit itu..ommmooo… as if he was born with the suit.. 😀

Karena penasaran, aq googling profilnya and turned out he’s been married for 20 years already O_O and has 2 kids. His wife is surely a lucky bastard lady.. 😛
